An Invitation

Updated: Oct 12, 2022

How many books can one read in parallel? I am working my way through 4. The one I would like to mention today is Juno Burger's The Invitation. Have not finished it, yet, but wanted to share some insights the book offers. I feel drawn to the concept of abundance, and the perception that wealth (in the broader sense) in the world is abundant. I have however realized that my narrative can be overly righteous, that I may be imposing my perspective.

What caught me about Juno's invitation to let go, and go with the flow, was that it indeed struck me as an invitation, rather than a 'call to action' - more like a call to inaction ;-). Abundance is a concept I would like to invite you to discover for yourself. Juno's invitation is about perceiving, sensing our feelings and environments, without engaging with it, about growing our comfort zone, to become more conscious and intentional. It's about recognizing what's alive in us at particular moments and then engaging with our favourite problem. Well, most of us have more than just one problem, picking one is tricky. My favourite problem is ... 'I do not deserve better'. The Invitation is not about saying 'Yes, of course I do deserve better.', it is simply about checking in with myself to notice what happens. What I have found that the consequence of the frequent check-in-with-self, a sense of abundance within me is the answer that emerged for me. Having faith in the abundance of wealth impacts all aspects of life, all decisions. It impacts how I perceive and handle money as well. What does abundance mean to you?
