Abundance within us

Updated: Feb 13, 2022

Life is perfectly imperfect. Life often feels scarce in abundance.

Everything had been said. Every emotion has been felt. By beings of different species, genders, races, kinds. It feels so important to make an impact, to move the world forward. Towards equality, equity, inclusiveness, care for self and our surrounding. Elusive goal, never to be achieved. Not out there. But we can, within us. This too, has been observed many times before.

Diving deep into ourselves seems mundane at first, but it’s actually to most exciting, insightful and rewarding trip we can take. Even if repeated daily till the end of days, getting to know ourselves fully never be possible. But that is just fine, as it’s the new daily discoveries that make it fun. The destination is not even on the map.

So, how does one go for the dive? Through silence. By listening to our body, heart, gut, self. By listening inwards. So much talking going on even within us, and so little listening capacity provided to taking it all in. How does your body feel? Your bones, muscles, organs, skin? How about all that space in every cell, in every molecule, and in between them? We are full of space and are made up of mainly water. And some stardust. All of us.

How does your heart feel? What is it trying to tell? Or what has it given up on telling you? Silence. Its voice will find you again. Give it time.

So… about the gut. Always right. Only its voice gets often lost in the cacophony of life. And it keeps coming back, daily, always right, but never claiming it’s truth. It just does, based on what our intellect and heart have told it already. It’s physical, but also emotional and in sync with nature’s forces. It tells you presence is abundant. Life itself is abundance.

And the self, ego, intellect.. that’s also an exciting element of our formula. Well intended, one would hope. But it often gets more acknowledged than the rest, although it should have a proportional share at best. And it often whispers tales of scarcity. Have you tried not feeding your ego? Weaning it of attention causes almost physical pain. The first days of ego-diet are the toughest ones. But it's worth it!
